Joseph V. Casillas completed an MA in Spanish (2012) and was the first student to graduate with a PhD from the Hispanic Linguistics program (2016). Joseph also minored in SLAT. Currently Joseph is an Assistant Professor of Hispanic Linguistics in the Spanish and Portuguese Department at Rutgers University, New Brunswick. His interests are in phonetics, laboratory phonology, and second language acquisition.
